Besiktas present Weghorst - No loan fee for Burnley's record transfer

Wout Weghorst has joined Besiktas. The 29-year-old forward will leave relegated Burnley for one season on loan. "Our highest priority in the attack is Wout Weghorst," Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi said in mid-June to Sporx.
The Istanbul-based club will not pay a loan fee but instead pay the full €2.8 million in salary Weghorst earns at Burnley—plus potential bonuses of up to €200,000. Neither club disclosed whether there is a purchase option in the player's loan contract.
Weghorst left VfL Wolfsburg for Burnley last winter to fulfill his dream of playing in England. The striker scored just two goals in 20 Premier League games. Burnley paid a club-record €17.5 million for Weghorst (overview).
