Dortmund want Neuhaus - Tottenham among numerous Premier League clubs interested

Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus is available for €40 million thanks to an exit clause, Sky and Sport Bild recently reported. It is understood that the 23-year-old would like to leave the Foals in the summer despite his contract still running until 2024. Until now, Bayern Munich were considered favourites to sign the Germany international. Apparently Neuhaus also has further options now: Borussia Dortmund as well as several Premier League clubs including Tottenham.

Sport1 reports that BVB would like to sign the midfielder for the new season. With the reported transfer fee, Neuhaus would become the most expensive signing in Dortmund’s club history, replacing previous record holder Mats Hummels, who cost €30.5 million when he returned in 2019.

According to the TV station, Neuhaus feels very comfortable at Gladbach, but could move to Dortmund together with head coach Marco Rose. According to reports, Rose is the favourite for the managerial position at BVB. Edin Terzic is currently in charge, but as things stand, he is not expected to stay on beyond the summer.

Tottenham interested in Neuhaus - Only Xhaka more expensive?

Real Madrid and a number of top English clubs, including Tottenham, have also been mentioned as interested in Neuhaus. “I can confirm that my dad is a Bayern fan. But Bayern are otherwise not a big topic for us. I have a contract with Borussia and want to be successful here,” the courted player told Rheinische Post at the end of November. In the last market value update, Neuhaus was among the biggest winners with a 5-million plus. At Gladbach, he would become the second most expensive departure in club history behind Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka if sold.
